• Why the name ? For the little story, when I was a kid and didn't know how to write yet, I signed my drawings with the 3 letters of my name before I figured out what order to put them in. I use oTm now as my artist name so to say, that side of me that needs to do something with his hands.
Or if you prefer: Over The Mountain - One Track Mind - On The Move - Off The Map...
  • When did you start framebuilding ? I started in the summer of 2008 after attending a UBI Titanium framebuilding class, it took 2 to 3 months to set up my workshop at home and start producing frames.
  • When I order a frame, how long does it take before I receive it ? From the initial deposit of 50%, usually 6 weeks.
  • Do you offer a warranty on your frames ? Yes, I do a 10 years warranty on my steel and titanium frames with a "Satisfied or Money back" the first month after delivery.
  • Do I need any previous experience to attend a framebuilding class ? No. I have taught perfect beginners and they have always done well, I would say that it is useful to have prior experience in working with your hands, be it woodworking, do-it-yourself housework, general bike maintenance, even some gardening, knitting, painting or drawing helps, no kidding !

PS: For TIG welding, eye problems such as bad color or short distance perception may cause difficulties, if this is the case we can easily switch to brazing, the flexibility of the course allows for it.
  • What is covered during a framebuilding class ? There is plenty of time to cover all the following aspects thouroughly:

    - Materials
    - Frame design/geometry
    - Tube mitring
    - Welding and/or Brazing
    - Frame finishing (reaming, facing, alignment).

  • Do I need to bring anything with me for a framebuilding class ? No, everything is taken care of, I provide all the necessary workshop protective gear: an apron, gloves, glasses, etc... Bring some old worn out clothes, it's safer.
