Woitek: Titanium Framebuilding week
Monday, we're welcoming Woitek from Germany who's coming to build his own old school, fully-rigid 26" titanium MTB. These bikes are so rare nowadays I'm hoping we'll have time to build up the bike at the end of the week and see how it rides :-)

Lundi nous accueillons Woitek qui nous vient d'Allemagne pour se construire un VTT titane 26" tout rigide. Ces vélos sont si rares de nos jours que j'ai hâte d’être en fin de semaine pour monter le vélo et faire un tour avec :-)
Jaap, Nico & Giulio: Bon vent !
Jaap, Nico and Giulio have finished their framebuilding week today, they're leaving with a lugged single speed frame, a lugged stainless road frame and a TIG welded track frame respectively. Thank you guys and enjoy the ride !

Jaap, Nido & Giulio ont fini leur semaine de stage de fabrication de cadre, ils partent avec un cadre single speed a raccord, un cadre de route en inox a raccords et un cadre soudé TIG de piste. Un grand merci a tous et bonne route !
A Motley Crew: Jaap, Nico & Giulio
Motley crews are non-uniform and undisciplined as a group. They are characterised by containing characters of conflicting personality, varying backgrounds, and, usually to the benefit of the group, a wide array of methods for overcoming adversity (wikipedia).
Meet Jaap (Netherlands - architect/telecoms/self-made man), Nico (Belgium - IT/software developer) and Giulio (Italy - student). Location, age or profession would not normally bring these people together, but the love of bikes and the need to get their hands dirty to build their very own bicycles actually did. This whole week they fired up the flames, burned their fingers, cut their skin, filed away in heat, sweat and noise, and all that with a smile. Congratulations guys and thank you for this memorable week of framebuilding !
PS: Is anyone else getting the feeling that there's a growing need in this early 21st century for people to break away from computers and office chairs and do something with their hands ?

Voici Jaap (Pays-bas - architecte/télécoms/self-made man), Nico (Belgique - IT/développeur) et Giulio (Italie - etudiant). La géographie, l’age et la profession ne les auraient pas fait se rencontrer en temps normal, mais la passion du vélo et le besoin de se salir les mains pour fabriquer leur propre vélo a bien réussi a le faire. Pendant toute une semaine, ils ont manié flammes et limes, se sont brûlés les doigts, coupés la peau, le tout sous la chaleur, la sueur et le bruit mais toujours avec le sourire. Chapeau les artistes et un grand merci pour se stage qui restera dans les annales !
PS: J'ai comme l'impression qu'il y a un besoin grandissant en ce début de XXIieme siècle de lâcher le PC et la chaise de bureau pour retrouver des activités manuelles, pas vous ?
